Cannon County, TN resident and Warren County native Oma Faye Hale, age 83, was born March 3, 1941 and died April 25, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

A retired employee of the Metro Nashville School System and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Byrd and Hazel Parkhurst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Brenda Hall and brother, Danny Parkhurst.

Mrs. Hale was married January 21, 1961 to Jimmy Ray Hale of Cannon County who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Mickey Layne Hale of Shelbyville, TN; daughter, Karen Faye Hale Simmons of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Tyler (Jasmine) Daniel of Chicago, Jessica Hale of Smyrna, TN, Clinton Ryan Daniel of Nashville, TN, Jackson (Yoshina) Hale of Japan, Hunter (Rebekah) Daniel of Germany, Jacob Hale of Shelbyville, TN and Mickenna (Olivia) Hale of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, James Trotter, Cannon Shuler, Spencer Daniel, Penelope Daniel and Parker Daniel; brother, Mark (Robin) Parkhurst of McMinnville; sister, Joanie Young of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Mark Parkhurst and Jared Kirby to officiate. Interment will follow at Woods Cemetery in the Dibrell community. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
